Jigsaw is a Gloucestershire community-based charity providing trauma-informed support to children, young people and families who are struggling with their mental health, wellbeing or day-to-day stability. We exist to make sure no one feels alone, unheard or lost in the system. Our work is grounded in kindness, consistency and a belief that people thrive when they feel safe, understood and supported at their own pace.
At Jigsaw, we take a relational approach. We build trust, listen carefully and work alongside families to understand what life is really like for them. Many of the people we support are facing challenges such as anxiety, trauma, neurodiversity, school difficulties, family stress, housing instability or crisis situations. We offer calm, consistent support that helps people build confidence, stability and hope.
We support children, young people and families across Gloucestershire who may be experiencing challenges with their mental health, wellbeing, relationships, education or everyday life.
Every person and family is different, so our support is personalised to their individual circumstances, strengths and needs. We work alongside people who may be experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, trauma, family challenges, social isolation, barriers to education or other difficulties that are affecting their wellbeing.
Our support can include mental health and therapeutic support, family support, youth activities, tutoring, mentoring and practical support to help people feel more confident, connected and able to move forward.

At Jigsaw, we provide compassionate, person-centred support that starts with listening. We take time to understand each person's circumstances, strengths and needs, building trusted relationships and working alongside people at their own pace.
Our approach is trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. We recognise that each person's experiences are different and that mental health, wellbeing, family life, education and wider circumstances can all affect one another.
We work with children, young people and families to build confidence, strengthen relationships and overcome barriers, helping people feel heard, understood and supported.
Our services are shaped by listening to the people and communities we support, as well as working alongside families, professionals and community partners. We continually review and develop our services to respond to local needs.
Everything we do is focused on helping people feel heard, build confidence and create brighter futures.
Our support can help children, young people and families to:
Access education, employment and volunteering opportunities
More than 90% of families who respond to our survey tell us they feel heard, supported and better equipped to manage future challenges after working with Jigsaw.
We work alongside schools, Family Hubs, health and social care services, local authorities, charities and community organisations across Gloucestershire.
By working together, we can identify needs early, reduce barriers to accessing support and help children, young people and families receive joined-up support when they need it.
Our partnerships also help us understand local needs and develop services that respond to the needs of the communities we support.
If you or someone you care for needs support with mental health, wellbeing, family life or other challenges, Jigsaw is here to help.
